The conference is organised by the Estonian Medical Informatics Association (EstMIA) in close cooperation with the European Federation for Medical Informatics (EFMI)\, Tallinn University of Technology\, the University of Tartu\, Estonian hospitals\, and partners from the medical and health informatics sector. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe theme of MIE 2027 is: \n\n\n\nEmpowering people with trusted\, sustainable\, and connected health data for active and healthy longevity. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe conference will focus on trusted AI\, health data spaces\, interoperability\, digital public health\, patient-centred care\, workforce innovation\, and the role of health data in security\, defence\, and societal resilience. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe event will be held at Kultuurikatel – Tallinn Creative Hub\, a distinctive conference venue located near Tallinn Old Town and the harbour area. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nMIE 2027 welcomes original research\, case studies\, implementation experiences\, methodological contributions\, workshops\, panels\, tutorials\, demonstrations\, and innovative solutions in medical and health informatics.
